How To Self Motivate
How to self motivate can be the biggest challenge for someone with low self-esteem. Some people have no initiative when it comes to improving the things in their life they do not like. They find it difficult to take the first step in developing, and following a simple outline for their life. They set goals but never follow through, and if they do follow through, the slightest bump in the road will make them give up.
The question for most people is how to self motivate myself while I am helping others. It becomes a challenge to be around other people who have a lack of motivation to fulfill any of their dreams or goals. The process to helping others starts with helping oneself first. When you are able to motivate yourself, you are then able to extend that knowledge to others who may be struggling, because they lack encouragement or self-fulfillment.
Everyone needs a reason to live and a purpose to succeed. But not everyone knows how to self motivate. The key is to find out just how important having a dream really is. Some people can only see one mile down the road while another person can see 5 miles down the same road. The difference between these two people is not the size of their dream; it is how far he or she is willing to go, to get to the spotlight.
How To Self Motivate: Be Determined To Be Successful
A person must have a strong determination to be successful. That determination must be as strong as their will to live. Once that desire is present, it must be fueled with persistence. Persistence means never giving up no matter how far off the goal may be. It also means finding other avenues to follow when the first one fails. Persistence will never quit trying.
For instance, overweight people who want to lose weight will never put forth the effort until something inside of them makes them reach the point of disgust or frustration. It usually requires them being sick and tired of being in the same predicament. Wanting to where a size six again or looking at a new suit that they absolutely must have. This type of self-motivation will cause that person to buy the suit, hang it in their closet and go on an elaborate diet.
Their continued success will depend on the one thing they want the most, to fit into that suit. This scenario is true for everyone. People who need to make necessary changes in their lives often procrastinate, because they do not want to face the struggle ahead. They get tired and stop before they start, because of the hard work that is ahead. However, people who quit never succeed, and people who have succeeded never quit. Such people know how to self motivate.
